Juliana Aquino releses solo CD uniting “Disco Music” with “Bossa Nova”

Brazilian singer Juliana Aquino just released her first solo CD. DiscoBossa has 11 new interpretations of big hits of the “Disco” era, all with new and original Bossa Nova arrangements. Songs like “Love is in the air”, “I will survive” and “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood, which was picked to be one of the musical themes of “Páginas da Vida”, Brazil’s Globo Networks’highest rated prime time soap opera, are amongst many other hits that make up this delightful CD.

DiscoBossa has had the contribution of the elite of brazilian musicians. Internationally renowned artists like Leo Gandelman Wilson Simoninha, Torcuato Mariano, Celso Fonseca, Márcio Montarroyos and Banda Black Rio’s William Magalhães have either played, arranged or co-produced tracks on the CD that also contains 2 bonus tracks remixed by Felipe Venancio and Memê, the top house DJs in Brazil.

It’s a pioneer project coming out of Brazil. It successfuly unites the delicious dancing rhythms of “Disco Music” with the sensous ingredients of Bossa Nova, all sung in perfect english by Juliana.
