MCA Music's pop acoustic sister-duo Krissy & Ericka have released their album not just in the Philippines, but in other parts of Asia as well.
Branching out from their Youtube channel, these teen sensations are starting to make a name for themselves. Known by their real names online and offline, siblings Regine Kristine a.k.a. Krissy (16) and Ericka Renee Villongco (17) started out around two years ago on YouTube. Offering a fresh mix of covers and originals, these songwriter-guitarists describe their genre as "glam countrified pop."
MCA Music Inc., and its mother company the Universal Music Group, released the self-titled album of the pop-duo in two Asian countries, namely Thailand and Indonesia.
In the Philippines, we only have a handful of OPM artists who have penetrated the Asian market. Krissy & Ericka are blessed to be included in this category. They are known for their mixed country pop styling and when they speak in English, foreigners often ask them which country they hail from. They always answer with a smile, "We are sisters from the Philippines!"
Young as they are, Krissy & Ericka have already been seen in various shows and have performed alongside singers such as Richard Poon and Sam Milby.
Krissy & Ericka's debut album features their current single "Runaway," as well as other tracks such as "Game of Love," "Baby Now that I Found You," and the M2M Hit "Don't Say You Love Me!" These girls have also composed originals such as "He'd Look My Way," "Hope for Humanity," "Surf's Up," "Sisters" and their carrier single "Up Up Down Down."
